Let the relationship lead
Choose a setting you both enjoy and plan something small to do together. A conversation, a gentle walk or sitting side by side gives hands and attention somewhere natural to go. The photograph can grow out of the connection rather than a complicated arrangement.
Comfort comes first
For pregnancy portraits, choose timing, clothing and a location that feel comfortable to you. There is no required look or milestone. Keep changes and travel manageable, allow breaks and tell the photographer which photographs you would prefer to keep private.
A few details are enough
One meaningful object or a familiar room can give context without turning the session into a collection of props. Include both close photographs and a wider frame of the two of you in your surroundings. A simple sequence often says more than a single carefully constructed image.
